Meet our Team

Dafydd Humphreys is Assistant Principal for raising achievement at King Edward VII Academy, where he is responsible for improving the outcomes of pupils across the school.

Dafydd has over 25 years of experience in education, including 15 years in senior leadership. He was Deputy Head in a Norfolk school before KES Academy, leading on staff development, teaching and learning, and other strategic and operational remits such as data protection, remote learning, and school-community relations. Prior to this, Dafydd led a history department and later an ICT department in challenging schools in West and South London.

Dafydd led the Early Careers Framework strategy, working closely with the Inspiration Trust Teaching School Hub for several years and the UEA’s Initial Teacher Training programme, developing many fantastic new entrants to the profession. He is passionate about education and its power to raise aspirations and prospects. He is also a huge supporter of careers and work-related learning and the power of work experience.
